At Bromham pick up local signs to Oakley.
From M1 – J 13 follow the A421 and exit at the Marsh Leys Junction signed A428 Bedford & Bromham.Follow local signs to Bromham and then to Oakley.
From A421 East exit at the Marsh Leys Junction signed A428 Bedford & Bromham.Follow local signs to Bromham and then to Oakley.

Vehicle parkingCar parking is at the rear of school. Should capacity be reached, vehicles can also
be Parked at Highfield Industrial Park this is about a five-minute walk to Lincroft
School. Vehicles and contents are left at the owner’s risk. Please DO NOT Park in
front of the school in Station Road or at the road junction with Reynes Drive and please ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DELAYS.

Public Transport
Bedford is served by Midland Mainline, Silverlink Train
services & Thameslink please contact the operators for
timetable information.There is an infrequent bus service to
Oakley. Alternatively a taxi service is available at the station
for the 3 mile journey.

Number Transfer
A number transfer facility will be available until 9.30am on race day. Entrants are
permitted to transfer their numbers to replacement runners provided that the
replacement runner completes an entry form, has the name of the original entrant
and has the original race number to hand in. No dialogue will be entered into if
these conditions are not met. Any Runners found to be wearing an ‘illegal’ number
will be disqualified and their details reported to the Appropriate governing bodies. >
This may result in disqualification from future events.

Beds AAA County Championships
All qualifying entrants are invited to compete in the Beds AAA County Championships. If you wish to compete please complete an entry form and register it at the County Desk. Entry forms will be available from the County Desk on race day.

Baggage
A manned baggage area will be available in the school hall from 9am. Baggage is left
at owners risk.
Please make use of the numbered tag supplied with your number.

Race Assembly
Runners are requested to assemble at the front of the school at 9.45am. From
there, runners will be escorted to the start of the race in Station Road. This is a five minute walk. The course is not suitable for wheelchair competitors. Late starters
will not be permitted to start the race.

Timing
Your timing chip and securing wire twists will be available for collection on race day.please have your race number ready to claim your chip. Please attach the chip to your running shoe as per the illustration below. •Use only the wire twists provided•
Do not secure using your shoe laces• No chip = no time. The chip supplied is 'live' and does not need to be further activated or processed. The chip, as you cross the start and finish lines, triggers your time and number recording. After crossing the finish line please move through the finish funnel as quickly as possible removing your chip prior to exiting the funnel. Please do not re-cross the finish line as this will interfere with the recording .Chip Timing will be gun to finish.

Course
The course consists of one 12 mile loop on undulating country roads around Oakley
and North Bedfordshire villages followed by a slightly different second loop of 8 miles.
ARC race permit number ARC 12/22. ARC rules will be applied. Course measurement
certificate 06/025.

Race etiquette The course will be well marshalled. Please follow any instructions the Marshal’s
give. Keep to the left hand side of the road at all times. Runners seen crossing the centre of the road or jeopardising their own or other road users safety will be disqualified.Marshals have no power to stop or direct traffic therefore all runners are responsible for their own safety. For safety reasons, runners are requested not to wear head/earphones. Please note: This race has a 4 hour time limit. Marshals
progressively withdrawn based on 12 minutes per mile, no competitors behind sweep
vehicle.
GEL/ENERGY BAR WRAPPERS PLEASE dispose of the wrappers from these
products responsibly. Bins will be situated frequently around the course.

The finish is at the rear of Lincroft School. Please remove
your chip and place in the buckets provided .Drinks will be
available at the finish.

Please collect your race memento which this year will be a Hoodie from within the school
hall before or after the race.

The award presentation is scheduled for around 1.30pm.

Changing and showering facilities are available at the race HQ. Hot and cold beverages
will also be on sale along with light refreshments.
